Built jurisdiction-aware, on purpose
Australia is not one regulatory jurisdiction. Heavy-vehicle law (the HVNL) applies in the ACT, NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria, but not Western Australia or the Northern Territory, which run their own regimes. Light-vehicle inspection varies by state — an annual pink slip in NSW, a certificate only on transfer in Victoria and Queensland, and event-only elsewhere. WHS follows the model laws everywhere except Victoria.
