Contractor compliance — FAQs
What does 'tender-ready' mean?
It means you can satisfy the compliance questions a main contractor or client asks before they'll let you bid or start — usually through a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ). That typically covers an SSIP accreditation such as CHAS, your insurances, your health & safety documentation, the competence and training of your people, right-to-work checks, and basic quality and environmental arrangements.
Is this the same as the CHAS checker?
It's broader. CHAS (and SSIP generally) is one line in most PQQs. This checker looks at the whole picture a client assesses — accreditation, insurance, H&S, competence, workforce/legal and quality/environment. If you specifically want to gauge CHAS readiness, use the CHAS Readiness Checker.
